Local-first privacy notes
Last updated: 4 June 2026.
This prototype stores house details in localStorage and photos in IndexedDB on the device and browser you use. The first version does not require an account and does not need a server database.
What is stored locally
- House nickname, location, viewing date, agent name and asking price.
- Scores, local-life distances, property-risk reality-check answers, renovation level, notes and saved comparison data.
- Uploaded photos and captions.
Optional local services lookup
The Local life score can work manually without sending anything to a lookup service. If you press Find local services, the place text is sent to France's public address API and the resulting coordinates are used to query OpenStreetMap Overpass for nearby services such as boulangeries, tabacs, pharmacies, food shops, transport, fuel, garages and regional airport context. Results are cached in your browser so repeated checks do not keep calling the free services.
Distances are approximate, public map data is not complete, and missing places can be added manually before relying on the sheet for a buying decision.
What to remember
If you clear browser data, use another device, or change browser, local records may not be available. Export reports if you need a lasting copy.
